The streamlined onboarding process will enable Salvadoran residents to access capital raise opportunities and trading via Bitfinex Securities’ El Salvador-regulated entity more efficiently, while ensuring compliance with regulatory KYC requirements.
Salvadorans will now only need an official El Salvador photo ID, a tax ID number, a biometric photo, a residence address and a phone number to open a Bitfinex Securities El Salvador account.

El Salvador passed its groundbreaking Digital Asset Issuance Law in January 2023 to foster financial innovation and growth.
