The Big Story: All-Time-High Bitcoin, Supporting ETH 2.0
Over the past 30 days, Bitcoin has reached new heights, bringing the rest of the cryptocurrency world along with it. The worldâs leading cryptocurrency ended November with a then-record price of $19,881.56 on Binance. Following sideways market action, Bitcoin has hit mid-December with renewed momentum, finally breaking through the much-anticipated $20,000 threshold. As of press time, Bitcoin is above $23,000, after setting a new all-time high of $23,800.
Now in its 41st month, Binance has continued building bridges across the entire blockchain ecosystem. For starters, we are launching support for ETH 2.0 through Binance Staking, allowing users to gain staking rewards from the ETH 2.0 upgrade, starting with the Beacon Chain launch. We offer all our users an attractive introductory APY of up to 20%.
On the Binance Smart Chain front, we supported four more projects under our $100M Accelerator Fund: Encode, OpenGSN, Blink, and Tenderly. There are now 15 projects supported by this fund. We do this to further expand the BSC DeFi landscape, which you can see below.
Meanwhile, we entered into a partnership with Chiliz, a fintech blockchain company for sports and entertainment entities. The first milestone of this partnership has been the launch of Fan Tokens allocation through Binance Launchpool.
This month, we also celebrated Binance Pool becoming a Top 3 mining pool,less than eight months after its launch. Since reaching a top-10 position upon its debut, today, Binanceâs mining pool platform is now the third-largest in the world. Thank you so much for your support.
