News for non-US Binance customers.
Today we’ve learned that Binance will not allow non-US traders to connect their Binance account through an API with servers located in the U.S. This will be fixed by us. Read on to learn more.
While Cryptohopper is a Dutch company, our servers are located in Virginia. This means that we will need to become multi-region within a week. Which is something that we will make happen, ensuring that you can keep using our service on Binance, also when this week has lapsed.
Becoming multi-region means that our servers are distributed over several countries, which was already on our roadmap. If one region fails, you can fall back on another region. The next step would be to become multi-cloud.
The news of Binance gave much unclarity to our users, and it came as a surprise. If we had been notified earlier, we could have already built this system, which wouldn’t have caused stress for our users.
This week has been intense for many crypto traders worldwide. This is the time to focus on building our ecosystem together: competitor or partner.
Decency, reliability, and caring for each other should be common values. There’s no place for corporate greed and selfishness in crypto anymore. The days of the Wild West of crypto will soon be gone. Let’s build towards a “decent and boring” future where crypto is the new standard.
Take care, and have fun trading.
