What is the Bitcoin Film Fest?
The Bitcoin FilmFest is an independent cultural initiative based in Warsaw that combines cinema with themes central to the Bitcoin ecosystem, such as decentralisation, financial autonomy, and artistic independence. Since launching in 2023, it has evolved into an annual festival complemented by international satellite events, serving as a platform for filmmakers, thinkers, and audiences interested in the intersections between economic philosophy and storytelling. The 2025 edition, to be held at the Kinoteka cinema in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, features a curated programme exploring Bitcoin’s impact on identity, governance, exclusion, and cultural change. Through screenings and discussions, the festival positions Bitcoin cinema as a growing form of cultural expression, offering alternative perspectives on money, power, and social organisation in the digital age.
